North India Institute of Theological Studies

Welcome to the online information about NIITS. One can also write to NIITS to request a printed copy of the 2013-14 prospectus for detailed information about the institution and admission forms.

NIITS logo echoes the philosophy with which we started and operate the institute. It is taken from Colossians chapter two and verses 6 & 7.

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."

NIITS is looking for additional faculty and staff to enhance its ministry. Since we run a bilingual degree program, one must know Hindi and English equally well to qualify to work at NIITS. We also require our faculty members to have a masters degree in theology from an accredited institution.

The current academic session of NIITS began on July 23, 2012 with 27 new students in this batch and will conclude with graduation on Saturday, April 27, 2013.  The 2013-14 academic year started on Monday, July 22 with 19 new students.  We are always looking for quality students who want to pursue the Bachelor of Theology (BTh) degree in English or Hindi medium.

We are starting the Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree program with 2014-15 academic year but we are forced to have a small batch due to lack of sufficient space for additional classes, library area, and faculty offices.

NIITS is in constant need of funds to support this ministry. Donations within India in Indian Rupees may be made in the name of North India Institute of Theological Studies. Bank drafts and checks/cheques need to be payable in Chandigarh.  Wire transfer information is available upon request.

NIITS has the FCRA registration number, 12A, and 80G Tax Exempt certifications (as an educational institution) from the Government of India to receive donations.  Donations within India in Indian Rupees are tax-exempt as allowed under the Indian Income Tax Act 1961 for 80G exemptions.  Our partner organization in the USA (Seek Partners) is able to receive funds on our behalf and transfer 100% of the donated funds to NIITS. So, all foreign contributions, as tax-exempt in the USA since Seek Partners International, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, may be sent to:
